The Regional Statistics Portal is dedicated to monitoring diversity and changes taking place in regional and local development in social, economic and environmental terms.

Here we explain and present information about Classification of Territorial Units, including administrative division (voivodships, powiats, gminas), statistical division (according to NUTS Classification) and functional areas (e.g. for urban and rural areas, Areas of Strategic Intervention).
The portal also serves as a compendium of knowledge on the role of statistics in regional policy. This section provides users with access to key national strategic documents on regional and local development (including the National Strategy of Regional Development and the National Urban Policy), information on the partnership between the Statistics Poland (GUS) and the ministry responsible for regional development, information on the monitoring of development expenditures, and successive editions of the GUS analytical report on regional development in the country.
The portal is dedicated to a wide audience, including government and local government administration. In particular, it provides profiled information dedicated to regional management stakeholders, such as Local government in numbers. City statistics, Statistical Vademecum for Local Government.
The portal provides access to regional and local products created in cooperation within public statistics at both national and regional levels, as part of the cooperation of Voivodship Centers for Regional Surveys, operating since 2010 as centres of statistical knowledge about the regions in 16 Statistical Offices.
